Halifax Swimming Club aims to encourage and promote the teaching and coaching of competitive aquatic sports for children throughout West Yorkshire.

We are open the majority of the year and only close over the Christmas period, two weeks in August and if the pool is closed.

We have Swim Mark Accreditation.

All the swimming coaches are volunteers with professional qualifications. Our Head Coach Julie Beaumont.

We encourage our athletes to take part in competitions at club, local, county, regional and even national level.

Parents are encouraged to help with all Club Activities.

Volunteers

The club is run by volunteers and more help is always required.

One of the main jobs that all parents can help with is to be a ‘Standback Observer’ or a ‘Chair Spotter’. The children cannot get into the water unless the chairs are occupied, and can loose valuable training time unless someone is on the chair. The safety of the children is paramount to us and if you can volunteer your time, please do. If you would like to volunteer please email: halifax@swimclubmanager.co.uk
