Internal Galas are back! Following many discussions with Kirklees active leisure, we have finally been able to book the Huddersfield Leisure centre competition pool on: Sunday 31st October 1-4pm ( Halloween Gala ) Sunday 12th December 1-4pm ( Christmas Gala ). Details for entry and events will be provided over the course of the next week but the format will be similar to our previous internal galas with a few tweaks to medals/trophies etc. Note: The galas will be open to all current group swimmers ie. swimmers who train in groups 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & YD/RD.
Over the 2 galas, all distances and strokes from 25m to 200m will be available inclusive of 100IM & 200IM with a maximum of 4 events per swimmer per gala and guidance on distances provided. Both galas will be licensed, so all individual times will record on ASA rankings and can be used as entry times for future external galas up to and including future county championships. Our club swimmers have worked immensely hard over the last 18 months and committed time and effort on a weekly basis to support their own development, as well as support this great club to continue strongly. There will be an entry cost to cover pool hire, coach costs, medal costs and expenses for external officials but the maximum for senior swimmers will be £10 and junior swimmers £6 per gala.
