Today saw the return of spectators to our internal galas and the swimming didn’t disappoint.
We haven’t had Spectators at an internal gala since 13th February 2020! It was brilliant to see and more importantly hear you all in the stands, it’s a much better place when you are all there cheering. Long May it continue.
We had fantastic competition across the afternoon which for some would have been their first event. Take a bow if it was because it’s never easy and very nerve racking. You all deserve a medal for that. 25m is the start of a terrific journey, so don’t beat yourself up if it didn’t quite go as well as you thought. In years to come you’ll realise it was just a warm up for achieving far more.
For some it was their last internal gala after many many years of competing. We will publish more in the way of thanking these great individuals over the coming weeks but for now, thank you and really well done.
A huge thank you must go to all Officials, volunteers, Gala secretaries, recorders, Coach’s/teachers and especially the brilliant swimmers. Without you all, this simply wouldn’t happen.
